We’re excited to share that an enhanced HIRI website is launching soon, and is slated for mid-January. The enhancements you’ll see rolled out are crafted with you at the center of every decision. As we approach the launch date, we want to give you a first look at what’s coming and what we’re getting most excited about it.
We know how critical it is that you, HIRI members, have easy access to timely, trusted, and accessible insights to present to leadership and guide your strategic planning, go-to-market plans, product roadmaps, and overall market understanding.
Our primary goal in this refresh is straightforward: Make it easier, faster, and more intuitive for you to access the research you value most.
This refresh isn’t just a visual update; it’s a meaningful upgrade to how you and your teams interact with the benefits of your membership.
One of the biggest additions is building out the functionality in your Account Settings feature to give you more control and access.
What’s most exciting about this? You now have direct access to make simple updates to your account, ask questions, and add users directly from your member portal.

Access to current home improvement industry research is at the heart of your HIRI membership, and the new website is focused on making it easier to get access to exactly what you’re looking for.
The research section of the website is structured to help you:

As HIRI continues providing research month after month, quarter after quarter, and year after year, you’ll begin to see historical report remain accessible.
This means you will no longer have to send an email to HIRI staff to request prior waves of data if you’re looking to do deeper analysis on anything that isn’t in the current report. Instead, you can access it directly straight from the website.
Another enhancement we’ve made pertains to some of our larger studies that are product and project specific. Previously, navigating to get the files for the Product Decision Study (PDS) and the Product Purchase Tracking Study (PPTS) materials meant hopping in and out of multiple pages.
(Not ideal!) And not anymore.
In the new website experience, all of the report and data files for the PDS and PPTS study are accessible from a single page, allowing you to quickly download all of the files, or simply download the handful that you care most about.

In the prior website, resources, including blogs, infographics, and fast facts, weren’t organized together, so you had to look in multiple places. Now, we’ve streamlined how you access those resources:
Webinars will live under a clear, dedicated “Events” section.
While the design and layout are getting a major refresh, our intent has been to keep the core functionality you rely on familiar.
Research Listings and Filtering Settings will still work similarly, and are simply easier to find and use with their static placement on the left hand side.
Research Fact Facts are now placed higher on the associated research page for quicker scanning.
Our goal was to enhance, not overhaul, the way you browse research.
The new site also makes it easier to learn about HIRI’s leadership and Board of Directors, with clearer profiles and insight into who’s guiding the organization. While this information has always been provided, it hasn’t always been easy to get to.
Because HIRI is member-driven, it’s important that you know ways you can get involved, whether by serving on the Board, joining a steering committee, or contributing to key research initiatives; this information is now easier to find on one page.
The new HIRI.org experience will be launching mid-January, 2026.
As with any large website launch, there may be a few bumps at first, despite all efforts for smooth sailing. If you spot anything that looks off or isn’t functioning properly we want to hear from you. Your input helps us make the new HIRI.org better for every member.
HIRI members have exclusive access to ~$1M of annual research, which covers Channel, Product, Project, and Market Size activity for both Homeowners/DIYers and Contractors. HIRI is the best source of secondary home improvement information. To leverage HIRI data ensures your organization has a strong, foundational comprehension of the industry and dynamics impacting it.
