HomeAdvisor recently released its second annual True Cost Report, outlining some of the the actual costs of home ownership, outside of the house itself. The report points do some demographic difference such as age, region, and interesting, political affiliation as factors affecting home improvement spending.
For example, according to the report, Millennials and Baby Boomers look similar in terms of overall home improvement spending, yet how they going about spending that money is quite different. The analysis on difference between those with different political affiliations is interesting, as it gives a different view to the findings that is often not looked at. HBS Dealer did a good job at looking at some of these differences, and put together an infographic to point out some key difference.
