HBS Dealer Staff attended a recent press conference hosted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at the International Builder Show where they projected that remodeling spending for owner-occupied single-family homes will increase 1.1% in 2016 over 2015, and another 1.9% in 2017.
Professional remodelers from around the country agreed with the forecast, citing clients’ increased financial security.
This is looking at only the professional sector of the market. Home Improvement Research Institute's forecasts provided by IHS Economics maintains that overall spending on home improvement products will increase 4.4% in 2016.
